Diablo 4 Barbarian Guide: talents, skills, techniques, spells

We already know a lot about the first classes in Diablo IV from everything that was shown at BlizzCon and from the demo. Here's everything we know on the Barbarian.

Please keep in mind that the release date of Diablo IV is probably far away. Many features are missing or will change. We'll do our best to keep this article up to date with the latest information, but don't consider the following to be definitive for the time being.

Diablo 4: Barbarian Gameplay

In accordance with his reputation, the Barbarian is robust and brutal, and he relies primarily on his melee weapons to destroy opposing ranks with physical damage. A few techniques allow you to attack from a distance, but the majority of builds will probably involve jumping into the melee to confront your opponents in close combat.

Resource: As in Diablo III, the Barbarian of Diablo IV uses Fury as a resource to fuel his most powerful abilities. This Fury is generated by attacking as well as receiving blows.

Basic skills generate a large amount of Fury, allowing the more powerful abilities to be unleashed. Some techniques with cooldown, like shouts, also generate Fury, which is very useful when you lack easy enemies to attack, against bosses or simply to keep pace.

The Fury Gauge will gradually empty over time.

Skills: As you will see in the following pages, the majority of the Barbarian's skills are taken from previous games, such as Whirlwind or Leap, although there are also new ones.

Prerequisites for the type of weapon used to unleash certain skills have also been introduced, which is related to the major new feature of the class.

Arsenal: The Barbarian can still use one weapon in each hand. A significant change from Diablo III is the addition of two additional weapon slots, for a total of four, so he can change weapons on the fly in the middle of combat (as in Diablo II).

In addition, some techniques require a two-handed weapon to be used, while others require two equipped weapons. Others require edged or blunt weapons. By planning your skills and equipped weapons, you can prepare your Barbarian for different scenarios.
